Event Description

The Tuscany Island Running Tour is an event that is part of the races on the paradise islands of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, the largest marine park in Europe.

Three days of racing, three different islands: Elba, Capraia, and Pianosa. A unique experience combining sport, nature, and the sea in the heart of the Mediterranean.

Maximum number of participants: 250 tour athletes + 50 day pass holders per stage.

Elba Urban Run By Night – Marina di Campo (11 km)

The first stage begins in the splendid Piazza Dante Alighieri in Marina di Campo. The route passes along the seafront and through the illuminated historic center, with the sea and starry sky of Elba as its backdrop.

A picturesque route through the town streets, the port, and the cycle path to La Foce.

Capraia Trail – 13 km

Capraia è l’unica isola vulcanica dell’arcipelago. Il percorso attraversa la parte più selvaggia dell’isola con panorami spettacolari sul mare e sulla Corsica.

During the race it will be possible to encounter mouflons, wild rabbits and numerous bird species.

Pianosa Gravel Run – 12.5 km

Running on Pianosa is a rare privilege. The island is a nature reserve within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park.

The route passes through the former penal colony and offers incredible views of white cliffs and turquoise sea.

A circular tour of the island's history and hidden beauty - Marina di Campo

Sunday's trek is not included in the tour and therefore not included in the registration fee. It is optional and you can decide whether to do it or not.

A guided trek through one of Elba's wildest areas, amidst Mediterranean scrub and spectacular views of the islands of Giglio, Montecristo, and Pianosa. The tour awards ceremony will take place only after the trek, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy this experience alone or with your loved ones.

Curiosity: Fonza beach was one of the crucial sites of the Allied landing on 17 June 1944 during Operation Brassard of World War II.
